No I'm not dead, nor have I forgotten about y'all. Things have just been rather hectic on my end. I have an exam on Wednesday which I have not studied for, and frankly I don't feel like it. I'll study the books I have and if I don't manage it there's always a second try a month or so from now. We're also writing on our essay, the one about Big Brother, and we will e-mail our drafts to our tutor this weekend and meet him on Monday. But enough about that.

Yesterday we did something really fun, Malin and I. We went to the supermarket in Geneta. That doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but it is. We got our money on Tuesday and was going to go on Wednesday but didn't. It's the same place where I used to work, and it's located near the big hockey arena that we see from our window. Most people think about cities and concrete when they think about supermarkets but this really is out in the green fields. Next to the hockey arena is a farm and the fifteen minute walk from our house goes by a meadow, a big hill, a smaller hill and a patch of trees. (And some houses at the end.) This summer I walked that way twice a day. God, I love Geneta.

Anyway, since I was a bit sick (it's getting better though) we took the bus instead. We were running a bit behind schedule so we didn't arrive until right after six pm. We thought it'd be crowded but apparently most people shop earlier so there really wasn't a lot of people there. We shopped for two hours and bought a heck of a lot of stuff including a lot of stuff you can't get in our usual store and a lot of luxuries. Or what else do you call 1 Ilbs. of candy, mozzarella, fresh artichoke, fresh bread (from my former employer), marinated feta cheese, organic kabanoss (happy pigs!) and pastry? The fridge and the freezer are now fully packed. *purrs* We got home at about 8 pm and unpacked and ate our frozen food (chicky bits with french fries and sweet'n'sour sauce). Yum.

I am really happy because for various reasons (time, money, health) we haven't been able to do this since October. Yes, we went there before Christmas but that doesn't really count since A) we were strictly following our shopping list and B)we were pressed for time and crowded with a thousand other people who were also pressed for time and stressed out. We are highly ashamed over being so old-fashioned and borgeouise but it really is one of ours favourite past times, maybe because there is only so often that you have unlimited time and (almost) unlimited money to stroll in a huge store and buy whatever you want. She went out to smoke after she had finished packing and when I stayed packing up my stuff. I suddenly had one of those flashes where I suddenly realised "She's a person? She's not a robot? Am I in a relationship? How did that happen?" When I came out I saw her standing there and realised "There really was someone waiting for me". It was almost a bit of a shock. She looked really beautiful and I said "I love you so much" and she smiled and told me she loves me too.
I don't know how it happened but I am in a relationship! LOL

Tonight it's the third of four of Sweden's try outs for the ESC. If you don't know what the Eurovision Song Contest is, well it's pretty much the biggest event in Europe all year, complete with headlines and dramatic tension. Jimmy and SBB are coming over tonight to watch, Malin's fave from last season's Fame Factory is competing, so we'll cook something nice. Maybe tacos. And artichokes. Yum.
