The USS Yelchin
Nov. 28th, 2020 10:26 pmI'm fully on board with Discovery being the future of Star Trek. (I realized a few days ago why I hate Picard so much. It's Brexit in space. And I hate Brexit.) And this Disco episode!!! (s3x07) kind of solidified that.
Not only is season three the first "real" Star Trek season. They have an admiral! (Played by Oded Fehr, who has aged soooo well.)

The admiral assigns them missions!
The crew of Discovery executes these missions!
And, like, the chain of command exists and such things. :D I enjoy it so much.
In this episode - besides paying tribute to the great, late, Anton Yelchin - they tie into the Romulan-Vulcan conflict portrayed in The Next Generation and use footage of Leonard Nimoy and there are ZERO action scenes in the episode. :D :D :D
