Just back from our local church. Our very local church, which I see from my balcony about 300 feet away. I hadn't been there since last Easter when Creepy Man That Tried To Pick Me Up On The Bus The Year Before was there and followed me and asked me if we had met before and why I didn't like him. This year he was blissfully absent.

The priest was my favourite: a very passionate true believer who always inspires and does unconventional things. He had been working as a jailor when he and his wife had an epiphany and became religious.

Today he talked about how when Jesus died the curtain in the temple broke and how it meant that everyone can access God directly and we don't have to depend on clergymen and priests any longer. He even said that we didn't have to come to church. Then he asked everyone to come up in front of the altar. He asked us what languages we spoke and to pray Our Father in our own tongue, Geneta is very multi-cultural. And we did. And then we sang a hymn before we were blessed and went home. I'm very glad I went; that's why I need to go to church every once in a while - to be inspired.

I wish each and every one of you a blessed Easter and a happy Passover.
