Jan. 9th, 2005 02:51 amThere's a hurricane over us now. It makes an awful lot of noise. 341 000 people are without power but gratefully not us. I've been awfully sick for the past two days. Most of the day I have hardly been able to walk around because my stomach hurts so much. But it's been better for the past couple of hours. Maybe I'll be well enough by Monday to go to work. Feels a bit sucky that I've spent most of my holiday being sick but I've tried to make the most of the situation by doing some things I had to get done. I'll try to write tomorrow.
Four people have died so far in the bad weather. The windows are shaking.
Today there was both a manifestation and a national mourning service for the Tsunami victims on tv. They're really playing this grief card. Grieve! You must grieve now, or you're not patriotic! Feel the pain!"
