Sitting at work, being bored. Oh, how bored I am. Drinking coffee. I finished my Ian/Gandalf fic last night, quite without intending to. I just opened to document and started writing. It's a comedy but I managed to make it a little touching and sweet as well. It was originally called "The Awakening" but that sounds unfitting and pseudo-religious so I will change it to "Charmed" or "Ensnared and Enchanted" or something along that line to fit with the subtle (I hope) hints of magic.

Today is the day the Swedish Minister of Finances presents the spring budget. As tradition dictates, this means he walks from the Department of Finance to the Parliament to hand it over (followed by protesters, supporters and members of the press.)

When I was a child the budget was a thick pile of paper. Then one year it was a floppy disc and everyone marvelled. Then it became a CD-ROM and this year it was a tiny memory stick around his neck:




I heard an interview with him on the morning radio. He said the situation feels somewhat unreal. Hehe. One year his predecessor was attacked with a cake in the face.
