Aug. 24th, 2006 08:16 amIt's Thursday now and I'm on my fourth day at work. It feels very nice, and is a great relief. The first two nights I slept badly, but last night and the night before I slept a solid seven hours, so I've been feeling good. Maybe one of these nights I'll get in a eight hours!
I have changed my training schedule. I used to go to the gym tuesdays and fridays, but I'm gonna do it Mondays and Thursdays instead. That way I'll get it "over with" quickly, and I'll be able to enjoy the fact that I only work until three on Fridays. Also, Thursday evenings are already "destroyed" by it be cleaning night, so it's better to use that one.
I went to an apartment showing with Lena yesterday. Great apartment, but right outide it was the outdoor serving of the local meeting place for drinkards. On the balcony, which was almost in ground level, you had it (the pizzeria) to your right and the Indian restaurant to your left. So I'm thinking no.
Something funny happened at work on Tuesday. I printed out my White List (to notify in case of death) since my printer at home is out of order. Roland got a hold of it and asked what it was. Lena freaked out and thought it was very odd. She gave it to our boss and said: "Check this out! Therapy is needed!"
Everyone laughed and I told her she was no better since she has written goodbye letters to her family in case she would die. The others were shocked by this, and she said that's different because it is her family. It turned out that she had thought my list was of customers I wanted to be notified if I died, and she thought that was overdoing the professionalism a bit!
Roland then said: "What a department! One is suicidal (referring to me), one is writing goodbye letters (Lena) and one doesn't want to live past retirenment (Anette said that once, but he misunderstood her)." :-)
In other news the new caterers are doing well, and I have been eating their "fitness" alternative three days in a row.
And I've taken to walking with poles to and from work. Breakfast soon!
