(no subject)

Today is New Year's Eve and I'll be spending it alone in my apartment. I've done it once before - in 2000 - so I know what it's like.

Since 2000 I have spent every New Year's in Geneta and this is the first year I won't do that. There, the fire works are very elaborate and I wonder a bit what they will be like here in town. I hope they will be just as good. I'll have to lock Ragnar up in the bath room so I can open the balcony door.

Last year I was with Malin in Geneta and it was very nice. I remember preparing myself for it being the last time, and it turned out I was right, so I'm glad I did.

The whole of yesterday was spent doing laundry and running around town shopping.

I have bought:

two small bottles of champagne
raw spiced salmon ("gravlax") + sauce
salami (sliced)
avocado
crayfish salad (that's the mayonaise type of "salad")
toast
crisp bread
cherry tomatoes
lettuce
mozzarella
soda

and for dessert:

Chocolate ice cream with brownies
whipped cream
banana
maringues
caramel sauce.

Yummy!

Talked to dad last night. He is home and doing very well. He has to completely relax for three days, so mom is pampering him. Today I will work on my yearly chronicles that I have been writing since 1993. Time to summarize 2006.

70 minutes left of 2006 and I'm so bored.

Oh well. I get to open the champagne soon and then my mood will improve. :-)

I hope the fire works are good. I don't get this tradition of launching them all day long. Mom said she and dad have given their dog a sedative to get through the night, lol.
