I'm so bored... The hot weather continues. I'm wearing a dress for the first time this year.

Saw a documentary about the cult People's Temple that committed mass suicide and murdered a congressman and reporters in 1978. A lot of the years leading up to it, and the fateful 24 hours during which the murder-suicide happened, were extremely well documented which surprised me. It was interesting, but also extremely tragic and disturbing.

It's graduation day today, and hopefully I'll see some nice student carriages. Some go all the way to decorate them. There's usually a lot of noise. :-)

Gonna pick up some strawberries, maybe some ice cream, maybe some flowers.
Tonight I'm gonna make lasagne as tradition dictates, and watch SGA. (Yes, I'm boring.)

Hopefully, I'll also find some good fic to read.

Yay! My brother just called from Stockholm. He and his wife are coming over tonight. That's quite surprising, since it takes a while to drive here. That will be fun.

I've made a lasagne and for dessert I had bought strawberries and ice cream, so I have something to offer them, hehe. That works out nicely. Good thing I didn't go to the movies or go out for a drink. Hehe.

I'm definitely gonna keep SGA in the background though, hehe.

As it turns out, I'm wearing the dress they bought me in Thailand.

Tomorrow I will sleep in, go to the gym around noon and then meet Malin for coffee at two. So that will be nice too.

I watched the student rides today while I was in town doing my shopping. I met Anneli, a woman at work whose daughter is graduating today. She shouted to me over the noise that everything had gone well so far.

In Sweden the graduating students wear student caps and ride around on decorated trucks singing, cheering, drinking champagne and playing loud music. People on the street (relatives) wave handmade signs and cheer. Today, like last year, the ruckus was absolutely deafening. It makes me want to be young again!

I went to the flower shop and bought a rose for myself, like I always do on this day. An elderly lady complained to the teller that the students were making too much noise.
