Talked to mom on the phone. Dad fell on the ice on Monday and got a concussion. Mom stayed home from work and looked after him, and he is fine now.

Today there was a fire in my old junior high school and the teachers were evacuated to the church where mom works. The school will stay closed all week and the ninth graders will do their national standardised tests on Friday in the church.

Tomorrow I have my yearly salary talk. I have prepared well this year and look forward to it. I'll keep you updated.
