Aaaaaand I'm off for Easter! *sings*
Last week was pretty eventful. My parents were here from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon, which was really nice. I only get to see them four times a year, so I always like it when they visit. Also, they always fix something around the flat. *g*
On Friday evening we went to a greek restaurant and had a lovely moussaka. They seemed impressed, and it was nice to show them a bit of my town's night life.
On Saturday was my cousin's wedding. It was in the baptist church, which I've never set foot in. My brother and his wife were there for the ceremony, and then my parents and I stayed at the reception.
The bride comes from Tanzania and the ceremony was held in Swedish and Swahili. I saw mom tear up a bit. The reception that followed was nice although it lacked alcohol and lasted way too long (six hours.) There were a lot of speaches, all of which were translated, and slide shows, and songs etc etc. The buffét had good food, although the cakes were a bit lame.
I sat next to my most talkative uncle (and with my family that says a lot) and saw some relatives I hadn't seen in years, plus one of my cousin's wife and baby who I had never met.
On Sunday afternoon my parents took a direct train to Uppsala where my brother Rickard and his family lives. I only discovered that train connection last summer, and it will make travelling easier. On Tuesday they flew back to Luleå.
Today I worked until one pm. Am off from work until Tuesday. Flat is clean, Easter food and drinks have been bought, feathered birch twigs and easter lilies are in water.
Robert and his wife are coming one day,
elenhinstar the next. I'll also rent some movies and go to church.
I wish you all a relaxing holiday weekend!
