Jul. 20th, 2009 06:13 pmI've just been to the blood donor centre and drawn a blood test which I've mailed to the bone marrow registry. I got to fill out a form when I signed up last week.
You remain in the registry until the age of 60. There is a slight chance that your bone marrow type will match someone who is sick in cancer or some order disease. But most likely, you won't be asked for a donation.
I signed up for this because I thought that it's a chance to help the survival of the human race. Purely selfish reasons, in other words ;-)
