May. 7th, 2011 12:22 pmOkay so I've had a week to process that Bin Laden is now dead. I'm glad the US people have gotten some catharsis out of it and I have no grief for the man himself.
I only have two things to add:
1) The raid also killed five other people, inlcuding Bin Laden's unarmed 24 year old son. This is the main reason I have problems with celebrating the operation. link to Slate article here
2) I've noticed that many conservative people are reluctant to give credit or thanks to President Obama, even though this is something they rejoice over. The people over at
therightfangirl are extremely quiet about it. Is it really that hard to give credit where credit is due, even if it's to someone who you normally disagree with?
