So I had a semi-productive day. Wore my mask and went to the grocery store when they opened at eight am. I know have vegetables and won't die of scurvy, yay!

After lunch, I lay down to rest and slept for two hours.

Did some cleaning, washed the curtains, put Christmas decorations up.

I have three areas of success that I use to determine if I had a productive day off:

1. Did I do chores?
2. Did I work out?
3. Did I write/read fic?

1/3 is pretty good, especially for the dark season.

I don't know if I've written before, but I have a bit of winter depression, and here it's pitch black between 1600 and 0900.

But it could be worse!! In the very north of Sweden, the sun sets completely for two months. ;_;

I'm fully on board with Discovery being the future of Star Trek. (I realized a few days ago why I hate Picard so much. It's Brexit in space. And I hate Brexit.) And this Disco episode!!! (s3x07) kind of solidified that.

Not only is season three the first "real" Star Trek season. They have an admiral! (Played by Oded Fehr, who has aged soooo well.)

The admiral assigns them missions!

The crew of Discovery executes these missions!

And, like, the chain of command exists and such things. :D I enjoy it so much.

In this episode - besides paying tribute to the great, late, Anton Yelchin - they tie into the Romulan-Vulcan conflict portrayed in The Next Generation and use footage of Leonard Nimoy and there are ZERO action scenes in the episode. :D :D :D
