E.E.C. (Employed Existence after College)
Sep. 8th, 2003 04:17 pmFirst day of training. First impressions... The company, Telge Energi is huge. It doesn't look very big from the outside but it is. It's one of the top ten power companies in Sweden, small but very successful. Good news no.1: The walk to work is one we like to take for pleasure, lots of nice green things and houses to look at, and it only takes 18-20 minutes from our house. Yay! (And I'll get exercise!)
Most of the other kids seem okay though one guy is an immature brat and I haven't really clicked with anyone yet. The company bought us lunch for today which was nice. They have a cafeteria, just like in school, with lunch ladies, and giggling reduced to school age-employees. The electricity info seems complicated, but interesting. It's odd to think that in one week I'll be informing customers of this stuff! Eek! But I learned a lot today so I feel good about it all. No nervousness at the moment. I was nervous this morning and I hadn't been able to sleep that well so I almost vomited. After 10.15 it got better though.
The best news of today is that we'll get paid for the training period - which instantly made me feel a lot better about this week. ;-) Plus our trainer is really okay. Also we'll get this week's, the last week of the salary period, pay on September 27th. Which means I can give Malin some money for the bills, not a lot but still. And I can buy her a birthday present!
Back to watchingthe greatest slash movie of all time Ice Age. Damn it's good! Malin has had sex dreams about Diego! And I always cry rivers!
