kribbanPeople who are annoying on mailing lists. Right. I can't believe I didn't post about this already but two weeks ago there was a rather amusing kerfluffle on our list. Someone posted a 100% hetfic (in which Elijah's mom was a bitch and he fucked his sister) and someone else responded that the list only accepts slash and I posted an ADMIN saying het content is OK but only if the main focus of the story is a slash pairing.
Then someone started talking back, saying the story was a slash story. I said no it isn't and then someone responded "Technically it is slash and therefore you cannot criticize it!" To my sheer and utter bewilderment at least one other person said it is slash, het slash (!) because of the "/" and that all stories with a "/" is slash, including Aragorn/Arwen. Of course people started arguing back saying slash is only m/m or f/f. Then someone said that if this list only allows gay slash and (!) not het slash the list owners have a responsibility to inform the members of that in the list decription! Then someone else dug up the list decription from y!groups and said "Hey, appearantly 'People of the same biological gender' needs explaining!"
How dense can you get?? This almost beats the rumour that Ian and Chris Lee had engaged in a fist fight in a London pub!
