Basically, everybody died. Yeah, that's depressing. And not in glory either but random swift murder. As Light, growing creepier by the hour, dropped her bomb shell "The Time for the final battle has come but there's no point in telling you the details of it because you won't see it anyway. You're all going to die and for that you should be grateful" and then killed them all with dark magic I turned to Malin and said "I loved them all." Oh it's so painful. Every character we've grown to know and love over the past twelve weeks, follow their progress and their trials, learning their backstories, believing they would be important - now obliterated instantly without even a fight. The look in their eyes as they realised they had been betrayed, that everything was a lie... *shudders*

The only one who wasn't killed was the mentally retarted man Arne and that was because she had sent him on a mission to find Joachim and Anna-Lena. Anna-Lena told him the truth about Light and he told Light that when he returned. He was sent back again and then he met Anna-Lena and greeted her warmly. She had gained his trust. Unfortunately, at that point she was under a Hunter attack and shot him dead. Light took great pleasure in his power going into her. Sigh.

Darkness was stabbed by Jasmine, the porno worker who could bend people to her will. She fled the scene but was taken over by Darkness who wasn't as dead as she seemed. She killed Jasmine and took over her body.

The baby that was more powerful than the two leaders and was dropped into a river a couple of episodes back was fished out of the sea in a fishing net, very much alive. Since the baby is the only thing that can beat Light & Darkness and along with Joachim the only hope for humanity he and Anna-Lena picked it up at the hospital along with Ismael.

Oh and Anna-Lena didn't kill Ismael at the end of the last episode, apparently she had enough self control left to slash her own wrists instead. She almost died and went to Limbo where she met Adelyn Saville again, the oracle, who told her some vague things. After being brought back to life she complained about being awoken before she had a chance to get all the information from Adelyn she needed. During a sweet moment in the garden where she and Joachim confessed their love for each other he granted her her wish and strangled her, giving her more time with Adelyn. After failing to revive her along with Ismael he broke down sobbing over her dead body only to see her revive on her own accord.

Light and Darkness, in Jasmine's body, both came to the hospital cornering a broken down Ismael holding the baby (Anna Lena and Joachim had fled, believing the baby to be elsewhere) each commanding him to give the baby to them. Anna-Lena and Joachim, who had his foundation rocked at the core when Light told him his brother's last words, using his brother's voice ("There's no point. I know how it ends."), had just discovered the baby was gone from their hiding place and in the same room as Darkness and Light when the episode ended. "To be continued...." it said. Just five more days until the final episode...

Oh and one thing I've been thinking about, if Joachim's brother really could see everything in the future, is it possible he saw that Light was really evil? And that's why he shot himself instead of following her, rather than shooting himself because he thought she was good but wouldn't be able to save the world?
