There's no one else to listen but you.
A little while ago I was listening to some of my co-workers talking about kids today being more fucked up and out of line and parents not having time for them. This generally sucks. But finally they generally concluded that this is because of working mothers, that in the old days when men studied and worked and women stayed at home these things didn't happen. Yeah, right so it's the mother's fault if the child goes astray. Right, take that, absent fathers.
Don't get me wrong, of course it's the parents responsibility to make sure they have time for their kids. Of course! But it's as much the responsibility of the man as it is of the mother's.
Both parents are equally responsible for parenting.
And then Clea, little-Miss-I-completely-misunderstand-the-women's-rights-movement pipes up "That's what we're telling ourselves that we should have such an equal society but we will soon have to accept that men and women are different." And then she sighed "with all that feminism that's going around now..."
You know, if it wasn't for feminists that girl wouldn't even be sitting there today. A hundred years ago we weren't allowed to vote, to own money or to givern ourselves. If it wasn't for the suffragettes that wouldn't have changed! We owe so much to them.
It angers me so much when young girls are so fucking stupid!!
And talk about comletely misunderstanding feminism. It's about equal rights, not about every woman acting like every man or vice versa! All people are different, but should that mean that they are treated differently??
This has nothing to do with looking down my nose at home makers, if that's what they want to do then more power to them. But when people say that because two people are different they should be judged differently or be restricted in their choices I think that's just fundamentally evil.
If people were to speak the same way about races today there would be a heck of a reaction.
