Thursday night Malin and I worked out the details of our trip to my parents. Friday morning I bought the tickets online (she will join me after four days and then we will go home together after two more). I also bought tickets for Christmas (for the first time since 2001 I will be going home for Christmas, for four days. I'm the only one of the kids who will.)

Friday evening, I walked with my bicycle to town (which took fifty minutes) and left it at the repair shop. I also bought a new mascara at The Body Shop (where none of the products are tested on animals) and some food for Malin and me. Unfortunately, I fell asleep just before she came home and slept most of the night away.

On Saturday - yesterday - we had no Internet, but later during the day we were told we would get it back. I took the bus to town after eleven am, picked up my bike and stopped by the barber on the way home. Since I didn't have keys with me to lock the bike, I parked it outside the window and kept nervous watch over it. The barber cut a lot of hair, and though I was a bit nervous about the outcome, I've been assured it's very nice and not at all Out of Character for me. Also, it requires no maintenance at all, which is nice, since I don't like spending time on my looks every morning.

Later at Saturday night, Malin and I walked to the supermarket. We bought a lot of groceries and white and red heather for out flower box on the balcony. I also bought a kalanchoe & a blue pot for my desk at work (where I already have a cactus.) We took a taxi home (since Malin works at the taxi company and knew the driver we didn't have to pay) and relaxed in front of the TV with tacos after we had unpacked. Jimmy and SBB stopped by. After having fallen asleep on the couch I wrote two UAs (so I could just post them the next day) and had some tea with Malin in her room (she had been asleep for five hours at that point.) Then as I was to go to bed I got my period, and slept three hours before I got up.

Today I re-dyed my newly-cut hair red-black which surprisingly little mess & fuss, took lots of pain killers to kill the surprisingly strong first-day-of-menstruation-pain, posted the letters, went to the store, saw 21 grams and threw away the old flowers from the flower box and planted the heather instead (two red plants, two white.) For the next three days, Malin works until ten pm, so I'll try to use the evenings to do as much fandom work as possible (read & review fics, work on my own.) Now, I should go and bake a pie.
