Regarding the Nature of Slash

For me, slash has been and remains a huge part of my life, ever since I read my first slash fic nine years ago. It's also helped a lot in my gender-wandering and moments of feeling lost. If there hadn't been slash, say in early 2001, I would have been a lot more depressed than I was.
I've been thinking a lot about why it has to be m/m slash and not other kinds of erotica. I've come to the conclusion that yes, the m/m aspect is a hugely important reason why I like it, but also that the genre-specific conventions and story types are appealing to me. And a thought stirred in my mind... Could you write a classic m/m slash story but with a f/f or m/f pairing instead?
I'm bisexual and intersexed so I don't have a problem being attracted to a pairing of any gender. Then there's canon to think off. You need interesting characters with a subtexty relationship. Most often m/f romances are too overtly romantic and I don't want that. I want the repressed lust, the strong friendship, the subtext, the angst, the tension. Mulder and Scully is often cited as a prime example of "het slash." I want the UST and buddy fics!
I want the sex to be as hot and tender and funny as in m/m slash. I want the down to earth, extremely physical, inventive, this-is-how-you-do-it love making.
I want First Time stories with as much focus on the First Time as in m/m. I want the experienced lesbian initiating the inexperienced lover in as funny and tender and practical way as the m/m fics, without getting Playboy-y and cheap.
That's actually a challenge, because in m/m First Time stories you've got a slow build-up from handjob to oral sex to Anal Sex (TM) as the high light of the Defloration. With f/f, you've got cunnilingus, period. You could use a dildo but that wouldn't be exclusively f/f since the Inexperienced chick has probably been fucked before. So you have to make the cunnilingus the Highlight of the Initiation.
I want the clever conversation and good characterization and focus on relationships that's so often in m/m. I want the characters to stay multi-facetted and in character, the sex to be as kinky and varied and personal and hands-on as in m/m slash.
I want the domestic intimacy and bantering and the subtle romance that comes from being so completely there for each other that loyalty is as natural as breathing for you. I want the deep, dark, heavy love, the many twists and turns, the angst, and the good story.
Now, let me get my magic wand... :-)
