Day of Advent fun
Dec. 9th, 2006 10:21 pmToday worked out pretty okay. The Yule Bord was fun. It was nice to meet my relatives, and one cousin I haven't met in over a year. The food was okay, not fantastic, but more than adequate. I did not over eat and knew which dishes were yummy from last year. It took about two hours. While we were eating a sail boat passed by in the canal. In december!
That led to discussion about the climate threat which my relatives (and all Swedes) are very worried about.
Afterwards I went to the gym. I tried out an energy boaster (like Gatorade) but I didn't notice a difference. It felt great to work out though.
Then I went home, showered and changed, and headed to the church where the line was already forming. I found Lena and we stood in line (which was growing longer and longer) until they let us in. Since we were so early we got good seats, although we couldn't see our boss at all (since he played drums and was at the back.)
The concert was AWESOME!!!!!!
I really like people who can sing well. Not digitally-enhanced-in-the-studio pop stars, but people who can really sing.
The show was a mix between this guy reading his own "Christmas fairy tale" that he writes every year, and musical numbers of the blues-gospel-musical variety. All Christmas songs, but done really well. Very strong voices.
