Keeping busy...
Apr. 29th, 2007 08:20 amIt's Sunday morning, and day two of the four day weekend. For the second day in a row I've woken early, right before eight. That's virtuous of me.
Yesterday was very productive. My group raised money for Amnesty, and I was supposed to only walk for one hour but the guy who was supposed to relieve me couldn't come so I ended up standing there for two hours. I saw a couple of people I know. We raised quite a bit of money, about 70 EUR from the looks of it, but we won't know for sure until we count it next meeting. (The collecting tins are sealed and are only opened publically on the meetings.)
After that I went to the sporting goods store with the plan to finally (after two years!) buy some decent training clothes. I found a nice pair of pants and running t-shirt for a reasonable price. It will be interesting to see if it keeps you cool like the ad promised. At any rate, I'll look more fashionable while I'm at the gym. :-)
After that I went to the hair dresser and had my split ends cut. She said I didn't have that many, which I have been a good girl and not waited too long between visits. I need to cut it regularly if I want it to grow long.
The rest of the day was spent doing laundry, watching some SG1 and reading fanfiction.
I'm going through rec lists and have finally gotten the time to read a good amount. This makes me very happy, since fanfiction is an important part of my life and I haven't had time to keep up with it lately. I spent a good portion of yesterday reading.
On the Agenda today is gym and, if I'm virtuous, going to the supermarket to do my monthly grocery shopping.
PS. On Friday I bought new shoes and threw the smelly, old ones away. Yay!
