Wooh! 35.42, baby!

Yeah, all you superfit people can laugh all you like. To someone who is as completely heart-unfit as me, that's quiet an accomplishment.

I was dead after the first five minutes and had to walk some. In the end I probably could have run a bit more but I was playing for safe rather than sorry. I was aiming for two things: finish in under 45 minutes and not end up last. It was a pretty cool feeling to run into goal and have the concierge call out my name.

There were six women in the running class who came in after me. The one who finished last had a time of 50 minutes.

The winner ran in 14 minutes or so. My co-worker's daughter, who turned 15 today, finished in fifth place in the women's class, with a time of 18 minutes. That's in a race full of adults. She's pretty talanted, and in addition to the fifth place prize, she got the Young Athlete Scholarship on 500 EUR. We'll see her in the 2016 Olympics, mark my word.

I talked to mom on the phone and she said: "Now, try to train some before next year, so you can at least run ten minutes in a row. Imagine the results then."

It would be great to be able to do that.
