Quick recap
Aug. 25th, 2008 09:53 pmIt's pitch black outside. I've lit some tea lights to compensate.
I was mega sore after the race yesterday, but I went to the gym anyway. It seems to have helped, because I have less muscle soreness today. While I was there, I jogged 3500 meters on the threadmill to see how it would work. I really want to be one of those fit people who don't feel nauseous after five minutes of running.
In the evening, I saw the Olympics closing ceremony. Swedes are pretty depressed about not getting any gold medals.
I also had the fortune/misfortune of reading a fantastically well written fanfic that TORE MY HEART OUT AND THREW IT ON THE GROUND.
I cried myself to sleep, literally, and kept waking up. I must have slept five or six hours in total. At work I cried pretty much all day. Luckily, I'm good at faking colds, and I have very tolerant co-workers.
I find it odd that fandom related things or an athlete winning a medal can have me sob hysterícally, but the few times I've been in actual grief I haven't been able to shed a tear.
After work I took the bus to the super market and did my monthly shopping. I took a taxi home, which was fairly cheap since the driver used a flat rate. Wow, how interesting. ;-)
Anyway, my cupboards and freezer are now full and I feel very accomplished. *nods*
Tomorrow I just have to buy cat food after work, and then it's home to relax. I hope I sleep well tonight.
What else? I bought the plane tickets home for Christmas. I'll be leaving on the 22nd and coming back on the 27th. That's a long enough stay.
I'll go make myself a cup of tea and dig into the candy bag I bought.
