Updates from me
Jan. 8th, 2003 06:28 pmAm so, so tired. And I´m achy all over, too. Will go to sleep but I should be cooking dinner and vacuming. Will see TTT tomorrow for third time. Have no money. School is stressful but at least I have friends to share it with so it´s not so bad. Writing is stressful. Managed to finish Taste in Toffee (I like this new title way better than
'Spanking!'). Still have to get around to continue writing the last installment of CI, though. It´s part lazyness, part busy schedule, that is the reason why I have been trying to write part 4 for six weeks, but mostly it´s just mental fatigue. You know when there´s so much to write and you don´t know how to write it and the last chapter was so angsty and depressing and you don´t know how you´re ever going to top that? That´s what it´s like. I think it was good for me to write a stupid PWP with the same characters, just to get away from it. And I also don´t want the fic to end, I've so much separation-anxiety it´s not funny.
Now about my brother's wedding:
On 1 January I took the train to Stockholm (which was kind of sucky because it meant I couldn't stay up late on New Year's Eve.) It was very hard to find the chapel but I eventually did, JUST in time! It was a small chapel, very small. They each had a friend (a maid of honour and a best man) and their parents and siblings with families. It was kind of sucky that Malin wasn't there, but oh well. The wedding took 28 minutes and was nice. The church musician sang and played the guitar and organ and piano. The teacher was Robert's Highschool philosophy teacher. Afterwards we went in cars to their house were we ate pastry and drank champagne and opened presents and took pictures. Then my brother Rickard and his wife drove me to the train station where I took the train home. The bride and groom, parents and bestman and maid of honour went to a restaurant, but I didn't care, because I wanted to go home and I wouldn't have had the money anyway.
For me it was enough to go the ceremony and the cake. BTW, Malin and I found them a brass tea light holder with a glass shade-thingy. Very lovely. Also only costed 100 SEK!
Maybe I´m cheap, but hey, they didn´t give me food so they shouldn't complain! lol.
Rickard took lots of lovely pictures that I hope will be very nice.
Finally, as for New Years Eve, it was very un-eventful. We ate, drank, saw TV and stood on the balcony at midnight watching the (amazing) fireworks our neighbours made. In order to buy our 1 1/2 bottles of wine and 1 bottle of bubbly I had to stand in line for 1 hour and fifteen minutes at the State Monopoly store on December 30. Argh! But all the rage was taken away when that night Malin and I ate a huge yummy turkey sandwich at Wayne´s Coffee and saw TTT directly afterwards.
:-)
