Home, sweet home!
Jun. 25th, 2009 02:11 pmI returned from the North yesterday. It was nice to visit my parents, but it's good to be back. With the flight and direct train connections it only takes about four hours door to door. Pretty neat!
Midsummer's was nice, although the weather wasn't perfect and the mosqitos in Miekojärvi - that's the name of the village where my parents cabin are at - were quite fierce. I have bites all over.
Now I'm off for the rest of the week. I went to the gym last night so I have nothing to do today, besides getting a grocery delivery in the evening.
I decided to break into my Star Trek movie box set that I ordered a while back. Currently, I'm sitting on the couch in my night gown drinking coffee and watching the first Star Trek movie, which I've never seen before. It's trippy, but good.
The sun is shining outside and I've got the balcony door open so that Ragnar can be out there. My dad put up a device to make sure he can't fall off.
Life is good. :-)
