Today Sweden played their first World Cup quarter-final in 24 years and got thrown out on their ass by England. Which means the whole country is depressed now, as we were already fantasizing about a bronze or silver medal, LOL.
I watched the game at a big screen down in the town square with thousands of other people, which is something I've never done. Everyone was so nice and well-behaved, and a guy in the audience led us in chants to raise the spirits.
We won't likely be in this situation for another 24 years, so I'm glad I went! It was really exciting to watch it in a crowd (where it was socially acceptable to yell.)
