kribbanSo I did the bi-poly survey and suddenly I had to define my relationship, LOL. Very interesting. I've pasted what I wrote in the poll.
I've been with my wife five years. She has had a number of boyfriends but has now been with one for 18 months. he and I are friends and love each other like family. I have had two boyfriends (who were part of our "family" which means that they either dated her or any of the men in our circle of friends) one after the other and now I have not been with anyone but my wife for three years. I am looking though, and my wife and her boyfriend help me in my search, lol. there is a man who is already a part of our "family" and loves me, my wife and her boyfriend (he is the boyfriend's best friend) that I'm interested in. he's already made a commitment to us and spends a lot of time with us, and he and I have developed a deep friendship. We have fooled around but nothing has come out of it so far. My wife and I are the ones who have a home and economy together even though we don't use terms such as 'primary' and 'secondary'.
My wife's boyfriend and I are platonic family members, as is my friend and wife, though the two men have flirted in the past. I think the friend is interested in pursuing a relationship with the boyfriend. The boyfriend can have sex with his former male lover but only if my wife is there to watch. We do not have an open relationship outside the "family". Four years ago there was some adultery (this was prior to current lovers) and it hurt the relationship a lot. Inside the arrangement there is no jealousy.
The reason why they're men? Just happened. They were the people that we were close too and it's natural to want those close to you as mates. The reason I put "family" in quotation marks is because we're not some crazy cult! We're just people who like to have a lot of people around, and treasure friendships and want a big family, that's it. If and when we have children they'll have several parents who love them, though of course they'll know who created them.
